Maths 2 is mostly linear algebra, and it is the single most reused subject in the programme — every machine learning course assumes you can handle vectors, matrices and their geometry fluently. It is worth over-learning rather than just passing.
Where marks go: People treat matrix work as arithmetic and get lost; the questions reward knowing what a transformation does geometrically before you compute anything.

No. Submitting someone else's answer is academic misconduct under your institute's rules, and those rules apply regardless of what is available here. These walkthroughs are published so you can check your own reasoning or understand a method you are stuck on. Attempt the assignment first, then compare.
They are worked by students and contributors, not by the course team, so treat them as a second opinion rather than an answer key. If one disagrees with your own working, check the course material before assuming the solution is right — and tell us, because we would rather fix it.
No. EduVerse is an independent, student-run site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to IIT Madras. Where anything here disagrees with the official course material or the institute's own announcements, the institute is right.
This collection was last revised in April 2026. Syllabi and assessment patterns change between terms, so check the topic list on this page against your own course page before relying on it. If something is out of date, tell us and we will update or remove it.
The files live on Google Drive, and sharing permissions occasionally change or a file gets moved. Report it on the contact page with the page address and we will re-point or replace the link. Broken links get looked at before anything else.
