About Strategies for Professional Growth

SPG is about the working life the degree leads to: communication, collaboration, and managing your own development. It is the least technical subject on the list and the one students most often underestimate because of that.

Topics covered

  • Professional communication
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Self-management and planning
  • Career planning and interviews
  • Workplace ethics
  • Continuous learning

Where marks go: The questions want reasoning about a situation, not remembered definitions — answer with what you would do and why.

How to use these SPG notes

  1. 1Read with the official SPG course material open beside you. These notes are a second explanation, not a replacement — where they skip something, the course content is the authority.
  2. 2Work the examples yourself rather than reading the solutions. Notes you have only read feel familiar in the exam without being usable.
  3. 3Keep one condensed set for the final days before a quiz, and do not try to re-read everything.

Common questions

How many notes are available for SPG?

There is 1 item for Strategies for Professional Growth, an IITM BS Degree level subject. One document in this collection: one study document. Everything opens directly, with no account needed.

Are these Strategies for Professional Growth notes free?

Yes. Everything on EduVerse is free to open and free to download. There is no paywall, no sign-up requirement for the study material, and nothing is held back behind an account.

Do I need to sign in to download SPG notes?

No. The files are hosted on Google Drive and open in a new tab without signing in to EduVerse. Signing in is only needed for features that save things to your own account.

Which SPG notes should I start with?

Start with the most complete set for a first pass, then use the shorter sets to revise. Read with the course material open alongside, so you can tell where a set skips something.

Are these official IIT Madras notes?

No. EduVerse is an independent, student-run site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to IIT Madras. Where anything here disagrees with the official course material or the institute's own announcements, the institute is right.

Is this SPG material current for my term?

This collection was last revised in April 2026. Syllabi and assessment patterns change between terms, so check the topic list on this page against your own course page before relying on it. If something is out of date, tell us and we will update or remove it.

A SPG file will not open — what should I do?

The files live on Google Drive, and sharing permissions occasionally change or a file gets moved. Report it on the contact page with the page address and we will re-point or replace the link. Broken links get looked at before anything else.

Can I contribute SPG notes?

Yes, and it is how the library grows. Use the submit page to send a file or a link. Contributions are reviewed before they are published, and material you do not have the right to share will not be accepted.
